Kinesis, the Greek word for movement, is the Richmond Hill Golf and Country Club’s new functional strength-training line. Kinesis offers endless training possibilities for everyone, from the beginner to the professional. It makes use of unique grips, cable and weight stacks to facilitate more than 250 different movements — all based on natural, free-flowing motions which is essential for Golf.
Kinesis is not just another piece of equipment to workout on. Similar movements can be achieved on a cable system, but with Kinesis, the quality of movement is not jeopardized. There is no setup and the unique handle design adjusts to all body types and sizes. The cable-loop system allows for non-obstructed movements where your body doesn’t get in the way. With Kinesis, you are able to achieve full range of motion and capture all the essential movements that comprise the golf swing.
Kinesis will challenge you like never before. In 25 minutes you will have a great workout and experience the latest revolution in movement training. Kinesis was designed to allow your body to move in three dimensions, just as you move in everyday life and in Golf. Functional strength training is an important part of weight training because it focuses on developing a solid foundation to perform daily activities with proper form and strength. Amateurs to professionalscan improve their game. Imagine working all the muscles required when swinging a golf club, at once. With Kinesis, you can do just that. Hold the adjustable grips and experience resistance through the entire movement. On traditional machines, it might not have been possible to perform the full movement, but with Kinesis, your body and the machine’s equipment will not get in the way. Golfers can hit an imaginary drive, all with 360-degrees of movement. The feel of balance with this equipment is incredible, you will not believe the consistency it will bring to all your shots on the golf course, from the Drive to the wedge and on all kinds of hilly situations where the ball is above or below your feet or whether you are hitting an uphill of downhill shot.

Programs: All Golf Fitness Programs work in conjunction with the Richmond Hill Golf Learning Centre; we have devised an introductory 8 week program where you would come twice per week; one for your golf and one for Kinesis; both are 1 hour sessions. Prices are between $30.00 and $40.00 per session in a semi-private setting with the fitness trainer.
